Overcome Porn App Reviews

My feedback is the same as virtually everyone elses. Starting on day 2, the video isnt available. I deleted the app and reinstalled it as one reviewer suggested and now the video works but there isnt any audio. Also, none of the links work. Please send an email to everyone that registered when there is a version of this app that works. I wouldnt recommend this app to anyone until they post an updated version that works.

Been good so far ONLY issue is videos ARE NOT loading. Fix please

No videos available for the action step. This is crucial. Without the videos this app is really not that good. So fix this and then it wont feel like I wasted my money. Ill even change my review.

Hey guys! So glad youre doing this but this is not good for you to try to help guys & then not have the tech support to come through. Ive emailed you twice to tell you there is no sound when I play the videos on IOS (iPhone 6). So, either fix it or give us the text of the videos to read. In fact, Id rather read than watch a video. I deleted the app & downloaded it again. The videos appear but still cant hear it. Id like to share this with other men but want to make sure it works first.

I did day 1 and it was awesome! But the rest of the days under "action" there is no text and no video. It only says "next." Please fix!

Sadly this app has great potential but since I bought it Ive had to search online for the videos they tell you to watch. Then day 5 comes and I cant find the video. I read other reviews saying that the video appears. Not on my phone. Contacted them a few days ago. No real response yet. Patiently waiting but as someone who already pays for covenant eyes this should be free to members. Just saying.

Like everyone else I cant see any videos. Please respond to the numerous reviews with the same issue. Thank you.

Love the idea of this but they should have tested more. Hope an update comes soon to fix the video issues *update* Emailed support and they fixed the video issues. Delete the app and reinstall fixed it. Changing to 4 stars. Still needs some polishing and fixing minor bugs. To the other reviewers concerned about privacy, the data is only stored locally. When I reinstalled it I had to start over and it didnt sync from a server

Lots of glitches and the videos dont work. This app was not ready to launch and I need my money back. This is very unfortunate as I was hopping to use this as a discipleship tool.

It would be better to link the app with notifications. That way it asks you at night how your day has gone. How have you excelled today to stay on track. Also as a daily wrap up it would be good to give you a daily scripture to wrap up the lesson. If the app could be updated with those things it would be better.

Since the audio is broken, the majority of the material is useless. Great app concept and mission, but the actual app is completely ineffective in delivering. Hopefully this issue is fixed soon; however, the developers havent updated or fixed any bugs since the app was released.

Seemingly good concept. Frustratingly useless. Read numerous bad reviews. Had similar problems. Over the past month have uninstalled and reinstalled this app more than half a dozen times to no avail. When I manage to get past the first video I can get no further. There seems to be no intention of correcting this problem. Pathetic tech support. I have given up.

The app would be great if it worked properly. Links are dead and the sliders do not move. The content is good, but it would be more effective if all of the app features worked

This app was a good idea. For anyone struggling with purity, this could have been a good tool for logging progress in fighting temptation. But its marred by flaws and missed opportunities. There is no reminder from day to day. If you somehow missed a day, its not going to tell you. It simply picks up on the next day even if it has been three days since you last opened it. A daily popup reminder would have been helpful. Also, the videos it tells you to watch have never worked. Ive unloaded and reinstalled to no avail. I paid money for this app and Im very disappointed.

This app provides pretty awesome content to keep me on track. Im tracking progress, keeping notes in the app, and I like the videos.

As soon as this was available I downloaded it. When I ran into problems with accessing the videos (as mentioned by others here) I thought of writing a review but contacted Covenant Eyes by email instead. I was encouraged to see this addressed so quickly. I had a few problems downloading the update so I deleted my app and reloaded it. Since that time, everything works like a charm! So far, the content looks EXCELLENT. I look forward to using the app to assist me in practical and biblical ways as as I do battle with sin and its corrosive power in my life. I hope and pray that it will continue to have a positive effect for others as well since Covenant Eyes has a long-standing track record of being a solid force for purity and the glory of God in the church. SDG I am upgrading my rating to 5 stars since my original review. Ive gone through the entire 40 days and consider the program to be outstanding. I have recommended it to others and am actually go through it again along with someone else to whom I recommended the challenge. The people at Covenant Eyes have been responsive to my input (& input from others, Im sure) and have made some improvements in little glitches that were present at first. Really, all I can say is that if you go through the program, youll find yourself much better equipped to deal with temptations as the Holy Spirit uses the biblical teaching, practical insights, testimonies, scientific knowledge, etc. to renew your mind and your heart. This might sound silly but the little app icon on your phone (or iPad - which I use) is an unassuming notepad with "40" on it and the word "Overcome" underneath - so it doesnt have the word "Porn" broadcasting your struggle to someone who is looking over your shoulder at your phone. One caveat: It took me longer than 40 days to go through it because some of the material was so good - and somewhat lengthy - that I didnt want to miss it by just breezing through it. I would highly recommend this to anyone who is struggling with the ubiquitous temptation of Internet pornography. Thank you, Covenant Eyes.

This app is wonderful. Ive been using it for about 3 weeks. However as Ive gotten to day 16, 17 the articles stopped showing up. Im assuming there is a glitch in the app. Can someone please fix this issues as soon as possible?

Overall the intention behind this app is noble and great. However the following issues stand out: - not having a consistent notification alert on daily reminders to do this - not having a way of linking to an accountability partner through the app via email for interaction and alerts when the person is having a challenging day - the app is not at all linked to an actual calendar system that starts synchronizing/counting days when you start it All these huge flaws make for a very poor paid app. If these improvements were made I would definitely give it more stars than what I have. It should be fairly easy to make those changes in this day and age. Lets hope CE gets on top of it sooner rather than later. Those improvements would send this app over the top.
